He was the youngest of four children, including a sister Ann (Cominole) Connelly, Bruce Cominole, and David (Babe) Cominole. Mr. Cominole was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Bernardine (Betty) Valachovic Cominole and his son Mark Guy Cominole. He served in World War II as a Marine Staff Sergeant, 2nd division, from 1940 to 1945, in the Pacific Islands and Japan. After learning the Plumbing and Heating trade as an apprentice, he worked for Treher & Jung for many years, and later was self-employed with a partner in his own plumbing and heating business before working for the Plumber's Union of Albany, NY. As a youngster growing up during the Depression, Mr. Cominole worked delivering ice, doing chores at Parson's Farm on E. State Street, and working at the Kingsboro Golf Course. He became an avid golfer, along with his siblings, and continued to enjoy golf throughout his life. His favorite interests in retirement were his garden, travel with his wife Betty, cooking, and his grandchildren. For many years his daily routine started with hanging with his McDonald's buddies.
