Obituary of Susan Shibley

Susan Shibley, age 61, of Gloversville, died Monday evening, January 22, 2018 at her home. She was born August 19, 1956 in Amsterdam, the daughter of George and Delia (Rust) Flansburg. She was employed as a receptionist in the office of Dr. Glenn Pizarro of Amsterdam. Susan was a member of the Johnstown Women of the Moose. She is survived by her husband, Brian Shibley; a son, Christopher Russell; a daughter, Tracy Russell; her father, George Flansburg; two brothers, David Flansburg and Donald Flansburg; three sisters, Cheryl Watkins, Joann Lewis and Donna Peterson; as well as eight grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her mother and a brother, George Flansburg Jr. Private burial will take place in the springtime at Day Center Cemetery, Town of Day. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the NYOH, 1700 Riverfront Center, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
