Obituary of Edward M. Retersdorf

Edward M Retersdorf age 69 yrs of Gloversville passed away April 23, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Gloversville, NY on February 24, 1949, and is the son of the late Richard and Ida Mae (Safford) Retersdorf.

He is survived by his loving wife Susan S. (Stemsky) Retersdorf,  one daughter Sarah Retersdorf of Amsterdam, NY,  one son Adam (Jessica) Retersdorf of Mayfield, NY, and a granddaughter Savannah.

Besides his parents he is also predeceased by a sister Claudia Retersdorf.

During his lifetime he was a Corrections Officer for the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department, he also worked for MCA, and Kingsboro Lumber Company. He was a past member/officer of the Pleasant Square Volunteer Fire Department, a USS Swimming Official, a member of the Antique, and Classic Boat Society Adirondack Chapter, and a former member of the United Methodist Church on N. Main.

Relatives and Friends are invited to call at the Walrath & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, 51 Freemont Street, Gloversville, NY 12078 on Saturday from 10:30 am to 12 noon.
