Obituary of Mary Jane Abert

Mary Jane Abert age 80 passed away April 27, 2018 with her loving family by her side at her daughtershome. She was born August 11, 1937, and is the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Cauldera) Fraumane.

She is survived by a daughter Mary Jane “Mitzi” Politi, and her partner Stephanie Battista of Coram, NY, and a son John Joseph Politi of Hagaman, NY. She is also survived by step grandchildren,  several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, and her Husband Heinz whom she married on July 1, 1978 she is predeceased by three sisters Sophie Corozza, Nancy Minicinzo, and Concetta Hess. Four brothers Thomas Farumane, Joseph Faramane, Samuel Fraumane, and Donald Fraumane.   

During her lifetime Mary Jane worked in various factories in Amsterdam and retired from Mohawk Sportswear where she was a machine operator for many years. She has lived in Hagaman for the 50 years, except for the past 8 years where she resided with her daughter, in Boiling Springs, PA, and Coram, NY. She was Vice President of the Hagaman Fire Dept. Ladies Auxillary, and a member of the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.

Relatives and Friends are invited to call at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger Family Funeral Homes 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010 on Wednesday May 2, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday May 3, 2018 at 11 AM at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church  51 N. Pawling St. Hagaman, NY 12086, with Fr. O. Robert DeMartinisthe celebrant, with a burial in the family plot next to her late husband in the Hagaman Cemetery.
