Obituary of Lynn M. DeLuke

Lynn Margaret DeLuke, age 63, of Gloversville, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at her home.

She was born May 1, 1955 in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Hauser Posson.  Lynn graduated from Guilderland High School (1973), SUNY Potsdam (1977), and SUNY Albany with a Masters in Remedial Reading, and was employed as a teacher by NYS Division for Youth at Tryon School for Boys and Girls for 34 years.  Lynn was a strong advocate for troubled teens and tutored local children following her 2010 retirement.

Lynn was a loving and devoted mother to her children.  She had a special love for cats, relished time by the pool and enjoyed the company of her many friends.

She is survived by a son, Robert DeLuke of Altamont; two brothers, Robert Posson and Paul (Denise) Posson; and nephews Wesley (Blair) Posson and Spencer Posson.

Lynn was predeceased by a son, Michael A. DeLuke, in 2017.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, May 18  at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, NY 12078.
