Obituary of Roberta J. Cuozzo

Roberta  J. Cuozzo, age 84, of Amsterdam, NY, passed away peacefully at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Fonda, NY  on June 25, 1933 she was the daughter of  the late William, and Madeleine  Wilmot.

Oldest of six brothers, and sisters Married Joseph A. Cuozzo  of Fonda NY on May 29 1954 they had three children  Michelle of Amsterdam, NY,  Josanne (Charles) Reaves of Rochester, NY, and Jim (Barbara  O’Neill) Cuozzo  of Buffalo, NY. Roberta is also survived by three  grandchildren Cara (Robert  Stipa) of Philadelphia, PA,  Toren (Kathryn Michalko) Reaves ,and Brennan Reaves of Rochester, NY.  Survived by a sister Kathleen (Harold) Vrooman of Amityville, LI , and Roger (Sharon) Wilmot of Fort Johnson, NY and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, and her husband she is  predeceased by a brother Robert Wilmot,  Ronald Wilmot,  and a Sister Madeleine Weidman.

During her lifetime she was educated in Fonda Schools, and Roberta belonged to St. Casimir’s Church for many years where she sang  many  solos, and in her later years belonged to Cranesville Reformed Church. She was a past president of the St. Casimir’s Ladies  Auxillary, and Past President of the Amsterdam TOPS 911 Chapter, and a member of the Mohawk valley chorus.

Relatives and Friends are invited to call at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger Family Funeral Homes, 171 Guy Park Avenue,  Amsterdam, NY 12010 on Wednesday  May 16, 2018 from 10 to 11 am with an 11am service at the funeral home with Fr. O. Robert DeMartinis,  and a burial to follow in the family plot of the Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda NY.
