Obituary of George D. Busseno

Amsterdam- George Daniel Busseno, 70, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at his Liberty Home. 

Born in Amsterdam, on February 15, 1954. A son of the late Warren Busseno, Sr who passed in 2001 and Carol (DiCaprio) Busseno who passed in 1992. George resided in Rome State School at 6, transferred to Wilton Developmental Center in 1976 and finally came to his true home Liberty ARC in 1994.  

George’s is survived by his siblings, Michele Person of VA, Kim (Arthur) Brumley and Warren Busseno Jr. of Amsterdam; five nieces and nephews, Tracy Lynn Hoke, Samantha Artukovich, Anthony Busseno, Jacob Busseno, Julianna Busseno; Liberty family, Dawn Nugent Santuccione, Heather Greene, Scott Klug, Cindy Reynolds and many other liberty family members. 

George’s family would like to express how grateful their family is for George’s Liberty family, for their kindness, and the care they provided for George to live his best life. He truly was at home, safe and happiest with his Liberty family. 

George will be deeply missed by his family and liberty family. 

Services for Geroge will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024, at 11am with Fr. Juanito Asprec officiating, a calling hour will be held prior beginning at 10am at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam. George will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
