JB and I met in 1958 when I was 12 and she was 13. We grew up as teenagers together in the 1960's and we have shared 60 years worth of stories and adventures and life changing events.
I will be forever lost knowing she is not on this earth anymore. BUT, I will take comfort knowing the constant thread through our entire friendship has always been laughter.
We drove our folks crazy, giggling when we were teenagers and then cracking each other up as adults over the silliest of things. Her laughter always made things better and made me laugh even when I didn't want to!
I am sure one of the first things she did when she got to Heaven was arrange the most beautiful tea service for our Lord that has ever been served. Cookies might have been a little burnt, but her laughter and her unique personal style saved the day.
I also believe that when she sat down to share her tea she brought out a list of things to "discuss" with the Lord that involves her beautiful and much beloved daughters, her handsome and treasured sons, her sweet grandchildren and her dear friends.
Knowing her, she has already begun touching your lives in ways you won't be able to explain but that you will know she helped to orchestrate.
I know I have rambled on, but that is something she and I are both sooo guilty of doing. And there is so much to say about her...
Lastly, (I promise).... some folks have never seen an Angel and some don't believe they exist.
Not only have I seen an Angel...I will forever call her my Best Friend...
I'm sending my heartfelt love to each of you,
Marie Alana Lamb

Our boys were in kindergarten together. I loved visiting with JB....tea in China cups, shabby chic decor, feminine, but so strong and loved our Lord. Condolences to her family and the greater family she had time for.

I remember your Mom and my cousin Maria Alana being the best of friends. They were always together and I felt like they were twins. Two beautiful people. May I extend our condolences to your families. God's blessings and deepest sympathy.

I used to babysit for Bre, Chad, and Jake when they were young. I remember being spiritually mentored by June when I was a teen. She was very inspiring and encouraging to me in my walk w God. I still carry her influences in my mind now. Her love of beauty and poetry and music. She was a blessing to me.
