Obituary of Tammy L. Vanderwarker

Tammy L. Shepard Vanderwarker, age 43, of Mayfield, died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Emergency Room in Gloversville. She was a passenger during a motorcycle accident that took place earlier that day. She was born March 11, 1967 in Ilion, NY. She attended schools in both Ilion and Poland. She later lived in North Carolina for six years and in Dolgeville, NY for a brief period. Tammy came to the Mayfield area about 15 years ago and was employed as a supervisor at Lexington Center Workshop in Johnstown where she loved working with her consumers. Tammy enjoyed going to the beach, swimming, listening to country music and dancing. She loved to sing, go camping and have cookouts with her children. She recently learned to enjoy the sport of deer hunting. She will be deeply missed by her friends and also by her family which includes: three children, Tim S. Vanderwarker, Trista M. Gavin Scott Purcell and Brooke A. Scott Jason Barnes all of Mayfield; her father, Larry Shepard Barbara of Ilion; a sister, Lorry A. Hulbert the Late Addison Hulbert of Cold Brook; three brothers, Mike A. Shepard Tammy and Lawrence E. Shepard Erin Waterbury of Ilion and Raymond A. Shepard of Herkimer; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins . The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 15 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville. Cremation will follow at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution in Tammy's name to the Lexington Center, 127 E. State St; Gloversville, NY 12078.
