Obituary of Janet Lee Miller

Janet Lee Miller, age 75, of Gloversville passed away unexpectedly on Friday June 25, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. She was born in Johnstown, NY on June 21, 1935 the daughter of the late Kenneth and Lillian Kennedy Walter. She was employed by Independent Leather in Gloversville for many years. She also owned and operated the Seafood Platter fish market with her late husband William C. Miller. Janet liked to read, play the organ and loved to shop. She was very interested in planes and flying. Janet was a member of the former Fulton County Pilots Association. Before her husband passed away she enjoyed family camping trips to Little Sand Point. Additionally, Janet enjoyed spending time with her special friend, Brian Christman. Janet is survived by a son: Aaron Miller Tami of Mayfield, five grandchildren: Eric Miller, Amy Gunnison, William Miller, Cassie Miller, Olivia Miller and five great grandchildren. Additional survivors include: a sister: Joan Albrecht, a nephew Brian Albrecht and a great nephew: Matthew Albrecht. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband William C. Miller, a son Jeffery Miller, a daughter in law Ruth Miller, a brother in law, Russell Albrecht and three great grandchildren. Friends and relatives are invited and may call on Tuesday June 29, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. A funeral service will be conducted immediately following the conclusion of calling hours at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Chris Hall officiating. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda.
