Obituary of Hazel M. Bradbury

Hazel M. Bradbury, age 88, of Gloversville passed away on Sunday June 13, 2010 at the Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility in Gloversville. She was born in Gloversville, NY on March 6, 1922 the daughter of the late Ernest and Gertrude Billington Cole. Hazel was married to Cyril Bradbury on May 2, 1942. They shared 66 years united in marriage until his passing in 2008. They spent their entire married lives living their marriage vows to the fullest. She was employed by Ambroson Gloves in Gloversville until she retired in 1971. Hazel was a former member of the Foothills United Methodist Church in Gloversville. She was a master at knitting and crocheting. She loved to do crafts and sell them at craft shows. Hazel loved music and her favorite movie "Gone with the Wind". She also enjoyed playing cards with her sister Lillian and Tony. Hazel is survived by a daughter, Linda Bradbury-Danner Rev. John of Sanibel, FL, a daughter-in-law Mary Ann Bradbury of Johnstown, NY, five grandchildren: Mattheau Davis Alycia, Terra Mehr Jerry, Tonya Bradbury, Bruce Davis Michelle, Elizabeth Danner Erica and six great grandchildren. Additional survivors include: four sisters, Lillian Ambrosino Tony, Joan Hansler Bill, Diane Dahlgren Ken, Maureen Rosa Sal, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, a son, Larry Bradbury, preceded Hazel in death. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday August 19, 2010 in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. The arrangements have been entrusted to the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. Cremation took place at Parkview Crematorium, Schenectady. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Hazel to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave, Gloversville, NY 12078.
