Obituary of Patricia S. Burns

Patricia S. Burns, 40, of State Highway 29A, Gloversville, NY died peacefully on Friday, June 4, 2010 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville following a brief illness. Born on November 8, 1969 in Glens Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late John Knapp and Faith Whitney. An area resident all of her life, Patricia attended Canajoharie Schools and received her GED in 1993. She then went on to Utica Business College. Patricia was a hard worker who never stopped learning. She previously worked for Kasson and Keller before forming her own company in 2008, New Visions Property Management. She was also in pursuit of her realtor's license. Some of her favorite past times included walking, baking, gardening and watching NASCAR. Above all she loved being a mom and caring for her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her mother, Faith Burch and her husband Joseph of Glens Falls, NY; three sons, Jeremy Burns of Canajoharie, NY, Jasyn and Jaimysan Burns both of Gloversville, NY; two daughters, Kala Knapp and her fiancé Nate Battisti and Karabeth Burns, all of Gloversville, NY; three grandchildren Veranika, Viktorya and Zayiden; her fiancé Roy Kilmartin, Jr. of Gloversville, NY; her former husband Joseph Burns of Kirkville, NY; and her close friend, Lillian Liebing of Canajoharie, NY. Additional family member include her brothers, Andrew, Floyd, John, Robert and Larry Knapp; to sisters Angela Knapp and Tammy Knapp; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 11 o'clock at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 4 until 7p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter, 133 Hilltop Road, Sprakers, NY 12166.
