Obituary of Harry L. Bull

Mr. Harry L. Bull, 95, of Mallard Pond Lane, Schenectady, NY died peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at home following a valiant battle with cancer. Born in Hoffmans, NY on October 3, 1914 he was the son of the late Charles and Jessie Helmer Bull. Harry graduated from the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School in Amsterdam, NY and then entered the United States Navy. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to the area where he was employed as a machinist for General Electric until his retirement in 1975. Following retirement, Harry and his wife, Geraldine moved to North Port, Florida where they lived for 20 years. During that time, Harry enjoyed his part time job at Publix Supermarket. They moved back to NY State fifteen years ago. Harry enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Robert "Ray" Bull. Survivors include his wife, the former Geraldine Moskal; two sons, Kenneth Bull and his wife Janet of Schenectady, NY and David Bull and his wife Mary, of Palm Coast, FL; a brother, Gerald Bull of Amsterdam, NY; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Legacy Candle Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 7 o'clock at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the ceremony beginning at 5 o'clock Tuesday evening. Interment will take place on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 10:30a.m. the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Community Hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
