Obituary of Ann C. Jackowski

Mrs. Ann C. Jackowski, 90, formerly of Amsterdam, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Palatine Nursing Home. Born on November 17, 1919 in Naples, Italy she was the daughter of Lawrence and Rose Tommasone Perrotti. Mrs. Jackowski immigrated to the United States as a young child. She was employed by Chalmers Button Factory for many years until her retirement. In 1940 she was united in marriage to John Jackowski. That union lasted forty seven years until his passing in 1987. She was also predeceased by her two brothers, Anthony and Alfred Perrotti. She will be remembered as a true Italian lady who enjoyed cooking and sharing her love and food with everyone around her. Ann will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her sister, Louise Mallaux of Amsterdam; and several nieces, nephews. The Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 9 o clock at the Good Shepherd Polish National Catholic Church, 27 Teller Street, Amsterdam, NY. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 5 until 7p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions in her memory may be made to her beloved church or cemetery in care of the funeral home office.
