Obituary of Ryan K. Cullen

Ryan K. Cullen, 32, of Albany, formerly of Amsterdam, took his last ride on March 21st with his devoted family by his side. Ryan enjoyed the wind on his face; whether he was on one of his motorcycles or in his cherished truck. After graduating from Amsterdam High School he went to MMI in Phoenix, AZ along side his father. Since then he has worked at Spitzie's then Broadway Choppers where he fixed, repaired and built custom bikes, his true passion. Most recently he worked at Railex in Schenectady while he was building his own custom bike shop, RC Customs. Ryan had a unique gift to know and understand the bikes he worked on and if something wasn't right he could fix it. He loved tinkering in the garage and knew how to fix anything. He enjoyed a few trips with his family to Yankee Stadium, and took many memorable vacations down to Florida to visit his grandparents. Ryan and his siblings also took many mini vacation camping trips to different locations. The boys also enjoyed their golf outings, Ryan enjoyed hunting, fishing and ice fishing with his father, brother, uncle Chris, Turkeyman Chris and brother-in-law Rich. Ryan met the love of his life Katey a few years ago and have been inseparable ever since. They enjoyed the outdoors and took long rides on the bike and in Ryan's truck. Ryan was never without a smile or a joke. He had a great heart and would do anything for a friend. He loved kids and enjoyed spoiling his niece Ryenne and nephews Justin, Matthew and Cody. It was a privilege and honor to know him. Ryan is survived by his wife Katey, his parents Dan and Dana Cullen, his brother Brandon Janel Cullen, his sister Shannon Relyea Rich, his sister Meghan Richie Altieri, his niece Ryenne and nephew Justin. His grandmother Betty Heaney, His mother and father-in-law, Ann Nolan and John Neet, sister in law Tara Bess Jimmy, nephews Cody and Matthew. He has a host of Aunts, Uncles and cousins and those who just loved him. Ryan truly had a soft spot for strays. His beloved dog Gabby found Ryan at Broadway Choppers and has been his faithful companion since. Ryan's strength and memory will live on forever. Family and friends will be gathering to celebrate Ryan's life on Thursday March 25, 2010 from 4:00- 8:00P.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY.
