Obituary of Randy J. Swift

Randy J. Swift, 64, of Schoharie, New York, died Monday, March 26, 2018. He was born on May 4, 1953 in Garden City, New York, and is the son of the late Edward Henry Swift and Elsie Stober Swift. Mr. Swift formerly worked for 27 years at the Schoharie County ARC and was devoted to the many people who he helped there. His work gave him great fulfillment, and he touched many lives there. He is survived by one son, Patrick Swift, formerly of Cobleskill, New York; his former wife, Tonya Dargie-Swift of Cobleskill, New York; one sister, Nancy Swift Dowdy, and her husband, Naumann Dowdy III, of Berryville, Virginia; two nieces, Kina Ann Dowdy and Mariya Ariela Dowdy of Berryville, Virginia; and many other loved ones in his family. Gratitude is expressed by the family for the devoted support given to Randy by his dear friend, Marilyn (Montenaro) Sawyer, and his cousin, June Scully, and her daughter, Tara Scully. A Memorial Service will take place April 8, 2018 at 1pm at the Calvary Assembly of God, 960 Mineral Springs Road, Cobleskill, NY 12043.
