Obituary of Clare T. Felker

     Clare T. Felker, 90, formerly of Amsterdam, NY, passed away quietly Tuesday, November 26, following a long illness.  Clare was the daughter of the late Mary and Alfred J. Agard and wife of the late Morris Felker, Jr.

     She leaves behind two daughters, Janet Felker of Kingston, NY and Kathleen Kovach (John) of Fairfield, CT, as well as many nieces and nephews and their children.

     Clare is predeceased by her siblings, Alfred J. Agard, Jr., Mary Agard Miller, Richard Agard and Veronica Mack, and two infant children, Barbara and Thomas.

     Clare was born and raised in Amsterdam, NY. She was a 1947 graduate of Wilbur Lynch High School.  She married the boy next door, Morris Felker, Jr., in 1954. They remained in the Amsterdam area until relocating to Kingston in 1978. 

     She enjoyed her many years of work at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam and with MetLife and United Healthcare in Kingston.      Until disease took her, Clare demonstrated her natural grace and strength in the many ways she cared for those around her. 

     Clare T. Felker, 90, formerly of the Amsterdam, NY area, passed away Tuesday November 26, 2019 at  the TenBroeck Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Lake Katrine, NY.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday November 30, 2019 at 11:30 AM at Historic St. Mary’s Church, 156 E. Main St., Amsterdam, NY  with Father Jeffrey M. L’Arch M.S. as celebrant.  Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ft. Johnson, NY.   The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday November 30, 2019 prior to the funeral mass from 9:00 to 11:00AM in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of St. Mary’s Church, 156 E. Main St., Amsterdam, NY 12010.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., FL. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
