To Doug, Craig and Gary and their families,
I was so sorry to hear of Aunt Jean's passing. She was a wonderful person - so much fun to be around. I will always carry with me fond memories of Mountain Lake and working on the cabin. She had a way of making you feel special and I will never forget her.
With my deepest sympathy,

Holding Doug, Craig, Gary and the whole Phillips family close in heart during this difficult and sad time.
I'm grateful that Aunt Jean's service was online. Even the sound of the train provided a perfect background and reminder of our times with her, Uncle Phil, and our cousins on Iroquois Trail. She was truly one of a kind - so full of life, music, fun, mischief and pranks and most of all - love. Growing up next door allowed the four Brownell kids to be part of many fun and unforgettable memories. I am proud to say that Mark and I were on the receiving end of one of her best pranks. We laughed about that during every visit. Like her grandchildren so lovingly shared, she had a way of making each of us feel special.
I'm grateful for all of the love she shared with our family, and in particular her friendship with my mom, all of the rides to work and love she shared with Jeanne, her concern and caring for Dad during his later years. He really enjoyed those many suppers at the Phillips dining room table.
My hope is that we'll all be able to get together sometime before too long to celebrate Aunt Jean, to sing and laugh and share stories together. She would be so happy to see all of us dancing (perhaps on tables?) and singing in her honor.
With deep sympathy and much love,
Carol Brownell Soucy

Words can’t express how saddened I am to hear of your loss. I have so many wonderful memories of Jean and your family and they all make me smile and laugh. I will remember all the great times at the house when Mary and I would play the player piano and she would sing, and the great times at the camp.
My prayers are with all of you.

To my cousins, Doug, Craig, and Gary, and to all of the beloved grandchildren of Aunt Jean. The memories that I have of my Aunt Jean are forever etched indelibly in my being. Part of me was passed down to me through her great Brownell genes - the humor, her willingness to poke fun at herself, her antics, and her love for life. Those who knew her will attest to her zest for the comedic. I only wish that I was half as funny as she was. We always said that she was the "Lucy Ricardo" of our little hamlet of Tribes Hill. My Uncle Lou picked a good one in her, as I think she kept him more grounded toward life. She's the last of the old Brownell's from the Fred Brownell dynasty. Her passing is a wonderful and fitting end to the Brownell's "Greatest Generation!" Those nine children of Fred and Evelyn gave us direction and purpose in our lives. They were an inspiration that we forever invoke in our everyday lives. When all of the relatives get together, the stories of these nine are often repeated. Rest in Peace all of you, you are finally reunited.

Doug, Craig, Gary, and all the Family,
What a beautiful photo of your Mom, my Aunt, posted on this site. Blue, blue eyes always with that devilish twinkle. I, and my family, send our love and care. Aunt Jeanne held up the "Last of the Brownell Sibs" magnificently, and her whole life added joy and laughter to all of us. What memories we all have, never to be lost. We could all go, "Do you remember when she...?" to the delight of everyone. We send our love to all of you
Warmly,
Cousin Bobby Conyne
