Obituary of Harold F. Mitchell

Harold Frederick Mitchell, age 83, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020.  He was born in Amsterdam in 1936.  He was a resident of various towns in Fulton and Montgomery Counties and has resided in Broadalbin since 1975.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Mitchell of Broadalbin, son Derick Jay Mitchell of Los Angeles, California and daughter Colleen (David) Gifford of Billericay, Essex, United Kingdom.  

Harold graduated from Canajoharie High School in 1954 where he was involved in various sports, clubs and student plays.  The night of his high school graduation while celebrating at Wintergreen Park he decided to enlist in the Army.  He was a proud Korean War Veteran.

Harold was known for his outgoing personality and sense of humor. Harold used his people skills and became a successful salesman and sales manager until his retirement.  Post retirement he worked on various projects such as poll monitoring during elections and working with the US Census. 

Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
