Obituary of William C. Abel

William Charles Abel, 67, formerly of Amsterdam, NY passed away Thursday June 24, 2021 at St Peter's Hospital Albany, New York. He was born on July 30, 1953 to Mr. Richard G. Smith and Ms. Winifred Abel of Amsterdam.

William was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School, class of 1973. He was a volunteer at the Fort Johnson Volunteer Fire Dept. and a devoted member of the Lutheran Faith.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Winnie.

A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 10:00AM at Maple Avenue Cemetery in Fultonville, NY.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Fort Johnson Volunteer Fire Department.
