Obituary of Shelley Drozinski

Shelley "Shay" Drozinski, 70, of Glen passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Pine Haven Nursing Home in Philmont, NY.

She was born in Amsterdam in December of 1952 to Virginia and Donald Osterhout of Fort Johnson, NY.

Shelley was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School, class of 1971. As a young woman Shelley worked for Montgomery County Nursing Services then continued to pursue a career in cooking. Over the years she became a talented gourmet chef working in many restaurants in Montgomery County. Friends and family couldn’t wait to be invited to her home for one of her wonderful meals. She volunteered with charitable organizations in the community such as The Century Club. A strong advocate for animal rescue, she fostered many cats over the years raising funds for Ayres Memorial Animal Hospital. In her spare time Shelley enjoyed antiquing, decorating, painting, and gardening. She had a caring nature and would help anyone who needed a hand. Shelley will be remembered as a warm and kind person with a contagious smile.

She is survived by sister Dona Warfield-Aldi, sons Darin and Neil Drozinski, two grandchildren: Aidan and Madison Drozinski as well as niece Ginger (Greg) Warfield, and her daughter Heather (Greg) Miller; their children Kaylee, Brayden and Gregory Jr. She also leaves behind niece Jennifer Warfield and her sons Billy (Samantha) Sievert and Matthew Sievert. Also surviving is nephew Russell Warfield and his daughter Taylor Warfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Drozinski who passed away in January of 2017, and brother-in-law Andy Aldi.

A private graveside service will take place at St Stanislaus Cemetery Columbarium where Shelley will be laid to rest with her husband.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ayres Memorial Animal Hospital or an animal shelter of your choice.
