Obituary of Patricia M. Kobas

Patricia M. Kobas, 70, of Amsterdam, passed away October 19, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Amsterdam on March 17, 1948, and is the daughter of the late Harold, and Florence (Rabe) Bell.

She is survived by her loving husband Joseph P. Kobas of Amsterdam whom she married on November 1, 1969, one son Michael (Alisha) Kobas of Johnstown, and a daughter Mellanie (David) Saunders of Florida and her companion and fur baby, Daisy. She also is survived by two bothers Harold (Phyllis) Bell, and Robert (Barbara) Bell. Six sisters Margaret Clarke, Shirley Edick, Barbara Wityke, Cynthia Barrett, Alice Going, And Marsha Yackowetsky.

She also was a Grandmother (Memaw) to her four Grandchildren, Skye and Lucas Saunders, and Caleb and Zoe Kobas who she loved with her heart and soul.

Besides her parents Patricia is predeceased by her brothers William, and David; and her sister Beverly Bell.

Patricia dedicated her life to being a loving mother and wife, enjoyed nature, bird watching (hummingbirds especially) loved to read, crossword puzzles, and also loved solving crime drama shows before the end.

As per Patricia’s wishes in lieu of Services and Flowers, contributions in her memory be made to the Brennan Humane Society, 437 9 Mile Tree Road, Gloversville, NY 12078. A family gathering will take place at a later date.
