Obituary of Kissoondat Kumar

Mr. Kissoondat "Rudy" Kumar, age 69, of Gloversville, passed away Thursday August 8, 2019 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, Gloversville with his loving family by his side.

Rudy was born March 26, 1950 in Georgetown, Guyana, South America, the son of the late Nanda and Mangree Koomar of Grove, East Bank Demerara. He was employed as both a mechanic and printer by Studley Paper Inc. of Long Island, NY. He was an avid fan of horse racing, especially the thoroughbreds and enjoyed going to Far Rockaway beach in Queens, NY.

Rudy was very proud of his Hindu faith. He enjoyed attending temple, religious functions and studying the traditions of the faith.

Rudy is survived by his daughter Anita Kumar, his son Alex Kumar, his two brothers; Dennis Kumar and Hemnauth Koomar, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

In addition to both of his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Kumar, his brother Ralph Kumar, and a grandson Michael L. Kumar.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday August 12, 2019 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville, NY, where a Funeral Service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM with an officiating Hindu Priest.

Cremation will directly follow the funeral services at Park View Cemetery, 40 Fehr Ave. Schenectady.
