Obituary of Addie Evelyn Koch

        Addie Evelyn Koch, 95 formerly of Johnstown, NY, passed away on Saturday August 17, 2019 at the EL Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility in Amsterdam.

     Born in Richmondville NY on May 31, 1924 a daughter of the late Rufus J.  and Melissa Winnie Nellis.  She was a resident of Richmondville for many years and was a graduate of the Richmondville High School Class of 1942. 

          Addie moved to Canajoharie and was employed for Beech-Nut for a time.  She then moved to Palatine Bridge and was employed for the former Comptones Sunglass Co.  She also worked at the Fulmont Neighborhood Center in Ft. Plain, NY.  Addie also raised and took great care of her family.

    She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, listening to country music and slow dancing.   Addie was of the Methodist Faith. 

   Survivors include her son, Larry E. (Susan) Hicks of Fonda, NY.  Granddaughter,  Kimberly S. Hicks of Fonda, NY.  Several  grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. 

     She was predeceased by her sister Marion. 

      Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 24, 2019 at 1:00PM at the Lenz and Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego St. Canajoharie, NY with Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams presiding. Interment will follow in Ft. Plain Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 12:00 Noon to 1:00PM at the funeral home.
