Obituary of James Hale Louer

     James Hale Louer, 56, a resident of River Ridge Living Center in Amsterdam and formerly a resident of  Hagaman, NY,  passed away Tuesday September 3, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam surrounded by his family.

  

       Born on April 21, 1963 a son of Milford Hale and Kathleen Bellows Louer Jr. He was a lifelong area resident and was a 1981 graduate of Amsterdam High School.

   

       He worked at the former Ward Products in Amsterdam as a material handler for many years.  James enjoyed listening to country music, golf, the New York Giants Football Team and was very fond of  tigers.  He was a member of the Calvary Reformed Church in Hagaman, NY. 

   

       Survivors include his mother,  Kathleen Bellows Louer of Hagaman, NY.   His Two brothers,  David Hale (Anne) Louer of Albany, NY, and Donald Walter (Meghan) Louer of Amsterdam; one sister, Nancy Lynne (George) Edwards of Northville, NY; three nephews, Daniel David Louer of Albany, NY, Matthew Walter Louer and Nicholas Donald Louer of Amsterdam, NY.  One aunt, Gayle Ann Longobardo of Amsterdam. Several other nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.   

 

       James was pre-deceased by his father Milford Hale Louer on February 27, 2006, a brother, Kevin Milford Louer and cousin, Joseph Longobardo.    

  

  Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 4:00PM at the Calvary Reformed Church, 15 Church St., Hagaman, NY  with Rev. Linda VanSlyke presiding.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday prior to the funeral service at Calvary Reformed Church from 2:00PM to 4:00PM.  Interment is private and will be in Hagaman Mills Cemetery, Hagaman, New York.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department 126 S.
