Obituary of Edith Anagnostopulos

Mrs. Edith Anagnostopulos, age 100, of Gloversville, died Monday, July 20, 2020, at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, Gloversville.


She was born January 29, 1920, in Berlin, Germany, the daughter of the late Carl and Marguerithe Coper. She was a member of Knesseth Israel Synagogue and was very active in the Gloversville YWCA.


Edith is survived by her daughter, Katherine Weichel (Jeffrey) of E. Stroudsburg, PA; two grandchildren, Kevin Kutler (Lori) and Kristen Weimer (Dave); five great-grandchildren, Jordan Kutler, Allie Kutler, Austen Weimer, Tyler Weimer and Brady Weimer.


She was predeceased by her husband, William Anagnostopulos.


A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at Knesseth Israel Cemetery, Clyde Street, Gloversville, with Rabbi Linda Shriner-Cahn officiating. Facial covering and social distancing will be required.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the James A. Brennan Memorial Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Road, Gloversville, NY 12078.
