Obituary of Edna M. Andrews

Edna M. Andrews, 68, passed away peacefully at her home in Fort Plain, NY on October 11, 2020.

She was born on May 9, 1952 in Cooperstown, NY. She attended St. Johnsville High School, and later earned a paralegal degree from Mildred Elley Business School.

On July 3, 1971, she was united in marriage to Robert E. Andrews Jr. Some of her best memories were made from time she spent camping and having summer barbecues with her family. She had a kind heart and enjoyed helping others. Her joy came from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Robert; three daughters, Kimberly (Darius), Kelly (Joshua) Wilsey, Karen (Michael) Morrell; a son, Robert (Vicki) III; nine grandchildren, Heather, Melinda, Ashley, Mackenzye, Taylor, Daniel, Morgan, Chloe, Dane; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Harry Slater; as well as by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Juanita Slater; her sister, Linda Ardilla; and by her two brothers, Francis and Robert Slater. Also by her beloved grandson Michael B. Morrell Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY 12072 on Friday October 23, 2020 from 12 Noon to 2 PM with a 2 PM Memorial Service at the funeral home with Pastor Nancy Ryan. Due to COVID-19, masks and social distancing are required at all services.  

In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Edna can be made to the Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter, 133 Hilltop Road, Sprakers, NY 12166.
