Obituary of Carol Marie Carrero

Carol Marie Carrero (Mamma) 65 years old, passed away on February 5, 2021 at Ellis Hospital. She was the widow of Luis Carrero, they shared over 45 years together.

Carol was born in Amsterdam, NY; on September 17, 1955. She was the daughter of the late Rose Reali & Carmen Musillo. She attended Amsterdam High School and graduated in 1973. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters and cooking for her 4 sons and 9 grandchildren.

Carol will always be remembered for her positivity and wonderful smile. She had the voice of an angel. We will always remember the times she would sing and dance for us. Her smile, warm hugs, strong faith, and love brought comfort to everyone around her. A true caretaker at heart, she will be forever missed.

She will always be everyone’s “Mamma”.

Carol is survived by her sons, Luis Carrero Jr (Jamie), Ricardo Carrero (Jennifer), Dominick Carrero (Nicole), Carlos Carrero (Catherine).  Grandchildren, Kayleigh Rose, Ganiha, Kainen, Kaimein, Sophia, Max, Ella, Carson, and Kennedy.  Sisters, Gloria Mancini (John) Mancini & Jean Patrenicola. Her Aunt Carol Wojcik & Uncle Rudy Reali. Nieces, Elizabeth Carrero (Tyrone), Christina Carrero. Nephews, Jaciano Carrero, Thomas LaBate Jr, Rafael Carrero, Joel Torres, Tito Negron and many more loved family members and friends.

Carol was predeceased by husband Luis Carrero, Mother Rose Reali, Father Carmen Musillo, Nephew Robert (Bunzie) Rodriguez, and Nephew Juan (Punco) Carrero.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, A Celebration of life will be planned in the spring of 2021.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
