Obituary of Betty E. Kilmartin

 

 

Mrs. Betty Elizabeth Kilmartin passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Nathan Littauer Hospital.

She was born December 3, 1933 in Charleston Four Corners, NY.

 

Betty is survived by her daughters Tamie Anderson, Gloria (Joel Sr) Knudsen, Linda Vosburgh,  and son Roy (Mary) Kilmartin Jr. She also leaves behind numerous  grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her beloved dog Bandit.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Kilmartin Sr, son Paul Kilmartin, son-in-law Richard Anderson Sr.  daughter-in-law Brenda Smith Kilmartin, and her 17 siblings as well as her dog Chito.

 

Betty was a farmer at heart, she loved caring for her animals especially the cows, and chickens. She loved country music and dancing. She loved her family more than anything and always enjoyed spending time with them, especially to  teach her grandkids to play slapjack and rummy.

 

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 12:00PM at Lenz & Betz Funeral Home 69 Otsego St Canajoharie, NY 13317. Friends and family are invited to the calling hour prior to the service from 11:00AM to 12:00PM. Interment will take place at Maple Ave Cemetery immediately following the service.

 

Contributions in Betty's memory may be made to the Canajoharie Volunteer Fire Department.
