Obituary of Michael H. Parry, Sr.

Michael H. Parry, Sr; age 71, of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Caroga Lake, NY, went home to be with God on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, unexpectedly at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam, NY. 

He was born November 11, 1949 in Gloversville, the son of the late William and Beverly Wilson Parry. He served in the US Air Force and was later employed as a machinist by General Electric for 35 years until his retirement. He loved his garage in Caroga Lake, NY and his Florida home and traveling between them. He was meticulous at taking care of his yard. He enjoyed his firepit, music and Coors Light. He loved spending time with his grandchildren on his tractor and golf cart.

Mike is survived by his wife who he absolutely loved and adored, Gwynne L. Horning Parry; two children, Michael  Parry Jr. and Kelly Smith (Mario Javarone); two sisters, Darlene Walters (Richard) and Donna Serrano; four grandsons, Lance Smith, Landen Smith, Michael Parry, III and Nicholas Parry; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 am to 12:00 noon Monday, November 1 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, where a Funeral Service will follow at 12 noon. Facial masks will be required.

Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda.
