Carol Boger

Obituary of Carol J. Boger

Carol Joan Boger, 78, of Gloversville, New York, died on Friday, October 29, 2021 at her home with her family by her side.

Carol was born on December 19, 1942 in North Arlington, New Jersey, a daughter of Walter and Elizabeth (Rutzler) Lewis. She graduated from Queen of Peace Roman Catholic High School and later earned her BA in Nursing from Hackensack Medical School. After earning her degree, she was employed as an RN by Nathan Littauer Hospital of Gloversville, and worked in nursing for 50 years.

When Carol wasn’t at work, she enjoyed gardening, reading and loved to go shopping, even if it was just window shopping. She also enjoyed visiting the casino, both in Atlantic City, and at Turning Stone, but her biggest love was spending time with her grandchildren.  Watching them play baseball, dancing, lacrosse, football, swimming, basketball and soccer always made her smile with pride.

Carol is survived by her children: Karen (Steven Jarosz) Schechter, Kathleen (Dragan) Konakov, Kenneth (Victoria) Boger and Kevin (Stephanie) Boger; her grandchildren: Brittany Morgan, Michelle Morgan, Joshua Schechter, Samara Schechter, Kenneth Boger, Jr., Kevin Boger, Jr., Matthew Konakov, Ryan Konakov, and Katelyn Boger; her sister: Elizabeth DeLuca; and Hubert A. Boger, Jr., the father of her children.

She was predeceased by her parents, and her sister Gayle Link.

Carol’s services will be private, at the convenience of her family.  A celebration of life will be planned for the spring.
