Obituary of Christopher A. Puglisi

Christopher A. Puglisi, 50, of Evelyn Street, Amsterdam died suddenly on Monday, November 22, 2021. 

 

A lifelong city resident, Chris was born in Amsterdam on October 1, 1971.  He was member of the 1989 graduating class of Amsterdam High School.  Chris was employed by Noteworthy and was a longtime City of Amsterdam employee working in the Recreation and Tourism Department.

 

Chris will be remembered for being a great guy who always went out of his way to help others.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Catherine Puglisi.

 

Survivors include his mother, Donna Puglisi; his beloved son, Lakon; his brother, James (Paula) Puglisi; uncle, Joseph M. Puglisi; his nieces and nephew, Gemma Catherine, Claire Lucia and Issac Thomas; mother of his son, Marie Davey; his paternal grandmother, Beatrice Raponi; step-brothers, Todd and Curt Raponi; uncle, Tom Raponi; and many friends.

 

A Service of Remembrance will take place on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 7p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, Amsterdam with the Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis officiating.  Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the service beginning at 3p.m. at the funeral home.
