James Green

Obituary of James E. Green

Mr. James E. Green, age 54, of Gloversville, New York, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 following an automotive accident.

He was born on June 30, 1967 in South Carolina, the son of Barbara Green. He attended the Gloversville High School, and after school earned his welding certification. Jim was later employed as a welder and mechanic by Cranesville Block Company, of Scotia, New York. He was "everyone's mechanic" and enjoyed tinkering for his friends and family.  He enjoyed his motorcycle and animals, especially his dogs. His favorite past time was spending quiet time by his pond with his loved ones.

James is survived by his partner Kim E. Bruse, who shared her life with him for over 30 years; his two step-children: Mason Bruse and Jordon (Kelly) Bruse; his sister-in-law: Kathy Murphy; a brother: William Nash; and his aunts and uncles: Carol (Bill) Murray, Donna (Dave) Paul-Garrett, Clifford Paul, and Ron (Linda) Murray.

He was predeceased by his mother: Barbara Green; his grandmother: Florella Paul; his brother: Thomas Nash; his uncles: George Green and Loren Paul, and his mother-in-law: Anna Murray.

Although there will be no formal funeral services at this time, there will be a Celebration of Life at the Gloversville Moose Club on State St. Ext., on Saturday, May 14, from 2 - 6 PM. Jim wished to give to as many as he could, so he chose to become an organ donor, in order to help those who needed a second chance.

Contributions may be made in Jim's memory to the James A. Brennan Memorial Humane Society 437 Nine Mile Tree Rd. Gloversville, NY 12078.

The staff of Walrath and Stewart Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Green family.
