Obituary of Brenda Forsey

Amsterdam – Brenda Forsey, 61, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at her residence.

Born on May 21, 1961, Brenda was a daughter of the late John and Marion (Rivenburgh) Richtmyer.

A lifelong resident of the area, Brenda graduated from Fonda Fultonville Central School. She went on to work for Price Chopper for many years, before owning & operating Olde Thyme Coffee Shop in Fultonville. Brenda was most recently the manager at Dollar General in Fonda, retiring in 2013. She was a member of the Glen Reformed Church. Most summers you could find her at Royal Mountain Camp where she loved to spend time with family and friends, hanging around the campfires. Most of all, Brenda was a loving fiancé, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who knew her; she will be greatly missed by all.

Brenda is survived by her loving partner and fiancé of 26 years, Tim Gower; children, Jason Forsey (Courtney) and Jessica Forsey (Randy); grandchildren, Andrea (Jesse), Staysha (CJ), Jordan (Marion), Danial, Nickolas, Joshua, Johnathan, James, Janet (Jeo), Katlyn, Randy and Addison; great granddaughter, Jasmine; sister, Nancy Lorrigan (Tim) of Wisconsin; brother, Ed Richtmyer (Donna) of Florida; mother in law, Ellen Hills of PA; in laws, Val Milliron (Les), Eric Gower (Samantha) and Mike Gower all of PA; her faithful fur baby, Max. Brenda was predeceased by her brothers, Butch and Gordy Richtmyer.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Richmondville Cemetery.
