Obituary of Warren E. Bates

Warren Earl Bates, Jr., age 70, of Galway, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 14, 2024. He was born to the late Warren Earl Bates and Lilian Ferguson Bates.

Warren proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. His dedication and bravery in service to his nation will be remembered with gratitude.

Warren will be remembered for his passion for Harley Davidson’s, fishing and hunting, his unwavering love for his family, and his commitment to those he held dear. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Warren is remembered with love and fondness by his cherished family. He is survived by his brother Michael Bates of Broadalbin, NY, Mark Bates of Fort Plain, NY, Lynn Bates of Johnstown, NY, his devoted children: Rachel Bates of Edmond, Oklahoma; Tabatha Bates of Lenoir, North Carolina; Warren Bates III of St. Petersburg, Florida; Veronica Bates of Derby, Kansas; and Jason Bates of Albany, New York. Warren also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy throughout his life.

In honoring Warren's wishes, a public gathering will be held on Saturday, April 20 at 1pm at the Broadalbin Memorial VFW Post 8690, 19 Pine St, Broadalbin, NY to celebrate his life.
