Obituary of Anna M. Saul

Anna M. Saul, 80, of Amsterdam died peacefully on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Albany Medical Center with her family by her side. Born in Amsterdam on July 9, 1935 she was the daughter of the late John and Adella Wojick. A lifelong area resident she attended local schools and was the cook at Tuman's Tavern for several years. She enjoyed camping, sewing and most of all, being with her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. On November 22, 1956 she was united in marriage to Charles K. Saul, Sr. They were together for 50 wonderful years until his passing on February 17, 2007. She is survived by three sons, Charles K. (Pam) Saul Jr. of the Town of Florida, Edward E. (Barbara) Saul of Gloversville, and William J. Saul of Amsterdam; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A special thank you to Dr. Rund, Dr. Goslin, Dr. Weis and the staff at River Ridge including: Scott, Robert, Steven and Kathy for their wonderful care to Anna during her illness. A Legacy Candle Ceremony will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 7 o'clock at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. A calling hour will be held prior to the ceremony at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Donations in Anna's memory may be made to the Town of Florida Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary c/o Diane Wozniak, 223 Thayer Road, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
