Obituary of Betty J. Arminio

Betty J. Arminio, 82, of LaFayette St., Palatine Bridge, formerly of Fultonville, died peacefully Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Palatine Nursing Home. She was born in Dunkirk, NY daughter of the late Frank and Ethel Herst Leone. Betty married Robert J. Arminio, Sr. March 13, 1948 in Wells, NY. The couple spent most of their lives residing in Fultonville where Betty was a loving homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family. She was a member of the Ephratah Reformed Church and enjoyed fishing, crocheting, knitting and playing BINGO. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Her loving family includes her daughters Penny Leonhardt and husband John of Roswell, GA and Wendy Vandervelden of North Bend, OR, her sons Robert J. Arminio, Jr and wife Marlene of Ephratah and Jeffrey Arminio and wife Mary Beth of Perth, and her grandchildren Sarah VanStone, Karen Walling, Andrew Vandervelden, and Stacy, Gina, Erick, Alicia and Ashley Arminio. Ten great-grandchildren also survive. Services will be at 3:00PM on Saturday April 17, 2010 at Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St., Fultonville, NY with Pastor Jeff Hinderliter, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Broadway in Fonda. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to services on Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00PM at the funeral home.
