Obituary of William R. Inglis

William R. Inglis, age 63 of Mayfield passed away on Saturday March 6, 2010 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on October 3, 1946 the son of the late William C. and Alma Liller Inglis. William was employed part time as a sheriff's deputy with the Fulton County Sheriffs Department. William was a member of the Gloversville Moose Lodge. He enjoyed photographing and feeding the wildlife that wandered through his back yard and loved everything about the outdoors. He loved boating and was the lake patrol officer for the Fulton County Sheriff's Department. William also worked for Montoney's Enterprises in Mayfield. He also enjoyed gardening. William is survived by his wife: Janis Inglis of Mayfield. They have shared 20 years together. Additional survivors include: 2 daughters: Jacqueline Cangro of Bradenton, Fl and Jill Wetzel Chris of Tinton Falls, NJ; 5 grandchildren: Jordan, Justin, Julia, Madison, Chloe and a brother Robert Inglis of Poughkeepsie, NY. William's beloved cat and dog, Cody and Bailey also survive. A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday March 11, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church, 22 North Main Street, Mayfield, with the Rev. Bonnie Orth officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives at 6:30 pm, one hour prior to the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Albany Area, 2 Pine West Plaza, Suite 204, Albany, NY 12205 or to a charity of one's choice.
