Obituary of Louise Liscio

Louise Liscio, age 88, formerly of Gloversville, NY passed away on Feburary 5, 2010. She was the daughter of Frank and Rosalie Gazzillo, born July 10th, 1921 in Caserta, Italy. Her family moved to Gloversville, New York in 1934. On October 13, 1946 she was married to Frank Liscio at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank, on April 9, 1996, after 49 years of being married to her best friend. Upon his death she moved to South Burlington, Vermont. She attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and was a member of The Woman's Society. She worked in the glove industry her entire adult life until retirement in 1991. Survivors include one daughter Ann Beardmore and her husband Dr. Roger Beardmore of Harrisburg, PA and one son Dr. John Liscio and his wife, Janet, of Colchester, VT., seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one brother Antimo Gazzillo and his wife, Helen, of Gloversville, one sister, Ann G. Ambrosino of Queensbury, NY, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Raph Gazzillo. John and Janet Liscio want to express their gratitude and appreciation for all the doctors and nurses at Fletcher Allen Health Care Burlington, Vermont and the Visiting Nurses Association's hospice program who were of service to Louise and to them during Louise's final days. Your compassion, care, expertise, knowledge, and professionalism were outstanding and surpassed any of our expectations. We are sincerely thankful for all of your assistance and for your new in-hospital hospice program. Friends and relatives are invited and may call from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday February 7, 2010 at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home; 51 Fremont Street; Gloversville. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday February 8, 2010 at the Church of the Holy Spirit; 151 S. Main Street; Gloversville. With the Very Rev. Donald Czelusniak officiating, Interment will take place in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown in the spring.
