Obituary of Donald Michael Biltucci

Donald Michael Biltucci, formerly of Canajoharie, NY died peacefully on February 3, 2010 at the Veteran?s Hosptial in West Palm Beach, FL, after a long illness. He was 80 years old. Born in Canajoharie on June 7, 1929 he was the son of the late Albert and Madeline Ferrarini Biltucci, Sr. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1946, at the age of 17 serving for seven years. He received two purple hearts for injuries in combat and was honorably discharged in 1953. In 1968 he moved to Florida where he began a career in medical laboratory equipment monitoring and testing, working for NASA, The Miami Heart Institute and Holy Cross Hospital. He continued to work as an assistant administrator at Florida Medical Center and helped coordinate the start-up of the family owned hospital. He retired in 2005 at the age of 75 as an estimator in the construction field. He enjoyed his family, country music, gardening and always looked forward to visiting Key West, FL. He was predeceased by his siblings, Leo, Joseph, Clinton, Eugene, Gloria, Gladys, Sally, and Louise. Survivors include his wife, Marsha Biltucci of Coconut Creek, FL; children, Robin and Michael Biltucci, Donna and Charles Mellone, Melody and David Wilensky, and Kevin Biltucci; step children, Debbie Anderson and Donna Edelen; two brothers, Albert ?Abe? Biltucci, Jr. and his wife Bev and Rudy Biltucci; nine grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Burial took place in Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to the VAMC West Palm Beach, 7305 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33410. Local arrangements have been entrusted to the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
