Obituary of Geraldine Fisel

Geraldine "Gilda" Tambucci Fisel 86, of So. Johnson Street, Beverly Hills Fla., passed away Monday January 18 at her home in Florida. Born in Amsterdam on August 13, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary DeSorbo Tambucci. Educated locally, she lived here for most of her life, moving to Florida in 1994. Gilda was employed as a glove maker, and later a dietary aide at FMCC. Her last job was with the General Electric Company in Schenectady. She enjoyed gardening and cooking and until she moved to Florida permanently, loved to spend the winters there. Gilda was a communicant of the former St. Michael The Archangel Roman Catholic Church and now Our Lady Of Mount Carmel parish. She was married to Frank Cusano who predeceased her in 1994. She later married Harold R. Fisel who survives. Gilda also lost her daughter Sandra L. Peters, a son, Michael Fraumane, a grandson, Thomas Fraumane and a sister, Vera Fusco. In addition to her husband, she leaves her son Thomas and his wife Irene Fraumane of Broadalbin; grandsons; Anthony Kristina Fraumane and Nicholas Angela Fraumane; great grandchildren; Cameron, Alexandria, Miracle, Thomas, Jayden, and Christopher Fraumane, and David Antis; son in law Jim Peters of Mayfield; nieces, nephews and cousins and her canine pal "Pepper" also survive. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass Of Christian Burial on Thursday at 11:00 am at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church. Fr. Pascal A. Iannotti, celebrant. Interment is in St. Michael's Cemetery. There are no calling hours and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to The Hospice Of Citrus County, Fla., in care of the funeral home office. Gilda's family has entrusted her arrangements to the care of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue.
