Obituary of Annabelle Hutchison Sievers

Annabelle Hutchison Sievers, 93, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family, on Sunday, January 10, 2010. She was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Jesse and Susie Fiero Ladd and resided in the Town of Florida for 70 years. Annabelle graduated from Mont Pleasant High School and Spencer Business Institute, both in Schenectady. She loved her farm life, baking, enjoying music and her family. Prior to her marriage, she worked as a secretary for Ter, Bush & Powell and then was a dairy farmer until the age of 85. She married John Hutchison, Jr., in June 1941, who passed away in May, 1958 and later married Louis Sievers, in September 1984, who passed away in March, 2003. She was also predeceased by her son, John Hutchison III, sister Elma Hensel, brother Raymond Ladd and grandson Douglas Hutchison. Surviving are her son Hugh Esther Hutchison of Amsterdam and her daughter Elma Ronald Phillips of Pattersonville. Grandchildren John Hutchison of Amsterdam, Debra Robert Jablonski, Veronica Peter Gogis, Theresa Thomas Nelson and Rebecca Phillips of Pattersonville. Loving great-grandchildren Tanya Jablonski, Katelynn, Emily and Krystle Hutchison of Amsterdam, Luke Mitchell of Willsboro, Amanda, Matthew, Erika and Krista Gogis and Adelena Countermine of Pattersonville. She also had many special nieces and nephews that were dear to her heart. The family would like to thank the staff of the Community Health Home and Heart Center, Glendale Nursing Home and Schenectady Community Hospice for their invaluable loving care and support during recent months. The family will receive friends and relatives from 4pm to 7pm on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY. The funeral will take place at 1pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Dennis Meyer of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Scotia officiating. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery in Amsterdam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 103 South Reynolds Street, Scotia, NY 12302 or to United Methodist Church, 347 Golf Course Road, Amsterdam, New York 12010.
