Obituary of George Goss

George Goss, 49, of Garden Street, Amsterdam, passed away Friday at the Albany Medical Center after a short illness. Born February 18, 1960 in Amsterdam, New York he was the son of the late Arthur G. and June Porath Goss. He was a life long Amsterdam resident. He attended Wilbur H. Lynch High School and was employed at various construction companies in Amsterdam. He was predeceased by his mother June Goss who passed away November 2, 2009. Survivors include three sisters, Deborah Bruce Van Buren of Amsterdam, Cheryl Goss Mike Fabosky of Amsterdam and Ida Brown of Amsterdam; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at 1:00 PM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery. A calling hour period will be held on Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
