Obituary of Everett D. Weber

Everett D. Weber, 80, of Saratoga, died December 5 surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted and adored husband of fifty-eight years to Bobbe; loving, supportive and proud father of Jill Robert Smith and Margie Larry Orell and much-loved grandpa of Jessie, Lilly, Emily and Molly and caring brother of Fran Savett Wolfson. Born in Middletown, NY, Everett graduated from Syracuse University. He lived in Gloversville for over fifty years. He was President of Rubin Gloves until 1997, past President of Knesseth Israel Synagogue, the Glove Association of America and the Eccentric Club. He also served as a Board member of the City National Bank. B'nai B'rith, the Jewish Community Center and Pine Brook Golf Club. Recently, he was a dedicated volunteer for the Double H Hole in the Woods Ranch, working with critically ill children. Everett was first and foremost a family man. He was never happier than when he was surrounded by his wife, his daughters, his sons in law and his four beautiful granddaughters. Services will be held Tuesday, December 8 at 1 p.m. at the Knesseth Israel Synagogue in Gloversville with Rabbi Martin Gordon officiating. Interment will be at Knesseth Israel Cemetery, Gloversville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Knesseth Israel Synagogue, 34 East Fulton Street Gloversville, NY 12078 or the Double H Ranch, 97 Hidden Valley Rd., Lake Luzerne, NY 12846-3318.
