Obituary of Julia Marshall

Julia Marshall, 68, of Carlisle Road died peacefully Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. She was born in Harlem, NY October 29, 1941 a daughter of the late Karen Marshall. Julia spent most of her time residing in the upstate New York area and was a resident of the Carlisle Road House in Canajoharie with Liberty since March of 1991. She attended Canal Street Day-hab and the Reformed Church of Canajoharie. Julia had a love for music and enjoyed listening to blues and soul music. She attended concerts every chance she had and has seen artists and performers such as the Temptations and Bobby Vinton in concert. She also enjoyed visiting the seniors at the Ft. Plain Seniors center, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her loving family includes her brother James Robinson of New London, CT, dear friends Debbie Baxter and Lori Insognia and longtime nurse and caregiver, Sharon Smith. She also leaves behind a nephew and all of her extended family at Liberty, especially her fellow Carlisle Road residents. Funeral Services will be at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego St., Canajoharie, NY with Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams, officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to services on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00AM at the funeral home.
