Obituary of Edward O. Krutz

Mr. Edward O. Krutz, 75, of Krutz St., Amsterdam, passed away Monday morning November 23, 2009 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady with his loving family at his side. Born in Amsterdam, NY on August 26, 1934 a son of Otto and Eva Engle Krutz. He was a lifelong area resident and was a 1953 graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Mr. Krutz worked on the Krutz family farm for many years on Swart Hill. His passion was farming and being in the outdoors. He later worked as a Truck Driver for Ward Products in Amsterdam before retiring due to health reasons. Edward enjoyed being with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was of the Protestant Faith. He married Dolores M. Bellen Krutz on September 16, 1955. In addition to his wife survivors include two sons, Sean Krutz Sharon of Johnstown, NY, Philip Krutz Becky-Jo of Amsterdam. One daughter, Johanna Delcostello Michael of Amsterdam. One sister, Joan Ropeter Robert of Amsterdam. Seven grandchildren, Merrill Wojcik, Bradley Wojcik, Sean Patrick Krutz, Sabrina Krutz and Shain Krutz, Cody John Krutz and Shelby Krutz. Three great-grandchildren, Madison Wojcik, Hunter Wojcik and Otto Wojcik. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was predeceased by a son Edward O. ?Butch? Krutz Jr. in 1968. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 25th, 2009 at 1:30P.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY with Rev. Bonnie Orth presiding. Interment will follow in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Ft. Johnson, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday This Evening November 24th, 2009 from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the funeral home.
