Obituary of Vincent J. Chase

Vincent J. "Vince" Chase, 21, of Brand Road, Sprakers, NY died Saturday, November 21, 2009 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Born on October 25, 1988 in Albany, NY he was the son of Leslie and Cynthia Chase, Jr. A lifelong area resident, Vince was a 2007 graduate of Canajoharie Central School. He was employed at several area businesses. He will be always be remembered as a hard worker and for his independence. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. He also enjoyed soccer, swimming and NASCAR. Hunting, family and friends were his life. Although he was young, his legacy impacted many people. Vince was full of love and laughter and always knew how to put a smile on your face. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. His family includes, his parents, Les and Cindy of Ames, NY; two sisters, Andrea Ostrander and her husband Joshua of Sprakers, NY and Amanda Rose and her husband Robert III of Fultonville, NY; a half brother, Eric Burke of Fort Plain, NY; three step nephews, Nathan Rose, Orion and Christian Burke; grandparents, Mary Chase of Fort Plain, NY, Leslie and Peg Chase, Sr. of Fort Plain, NY, Gerald and Sylvia Mead, Sr. of Canajoharie, NY. He is also survived by his lifelong friends, Timothy Reardon, Christopher Null, Norman Hogan and Max Weaver; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew David Chase. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 11 o'clock at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. Interment will follow in the Ames Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, November 27, 2009 from 4 until 7 at the funeral home.
