Obituary of Patricia Chociej

Mrs. Patricia Chociej, 89 years old, formerly of Amsterdam, died Friday at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, where she had been a patient for the past two months. Mrs. Chociej was born May 2, 1920 in Amsterdam, a daughter of Donald and Agnes Jackson Grant and was a life long resident of the Amsterdam area. She had spent the past few years at the Albany Co. Nursing Home. Mrs. Chociej was a self employed Physical Therapist for many years. Caring for her family members was the focal point of her life. Patricia married Walter S. Chociej in 1950. He died February 9, 1985. She is survived by her sister Kathleen P. Palmateer of South Pasadena, Florida. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Burial will take place in Green Hill Cemetery. A calling hour will take place 1 hour prior to the service from 10 until 11:00am at the funeral home.
