Obituary of Beverly L. Cosentino McKay

Beverly L. Cosentino McKay, 78, of Orange St., Amsterdam passed away early Friday morning September 18, 2009 at the Oneida Health Care Center Extended Care Facility in Oneida, NY. Born in Ft. Johnson, NY on January 2nd, 1931 a daughter of Harry and Isabella Tyndal DeVoe. She was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and was a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School in Amsterdam. Mrs. McKay worked for many years at the former Mohasco Industries in Amsterdam and later for the former Almor Company also in Amsterdam retiring in 1991. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. Beverly first was married to Joseph V. Cosentino. He passed away in 1980. She later married Stanley McKay. He passed away in 2002. Survivors include two sons, Joseph K. Cosentino and his fianc Elizabeth Nolan of Whitesboro, NY and Kenneth B. Cosentino of Amsterdam, NY . A brother Bill Devoe and a sister Marie Serge. Two grandchildren, Kevin Cosentino and Melissa Cosentino. A step-grandson Kevin Nolan. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be held on Monday September 21, 2009 at 12:00Noon at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery Chapel in Amsterdam, NY. Calling hours are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Beverly's memory to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211.
