Obituary of Blaine A. Reed

Blaine A. Reed, 67, died Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. He was born in Cobleskill, NY on February 19, 1942, the son of the late Irving and Thelma Snyder Reed. Blaine enjoyed collecting mugs, swords, Indian art and watching television and movies. He loved to be with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include the mother of his eight children, Sandra Liddon Reed of Gloversville; seven sons and one daughter: Alvin Reed Lisa of Sparks, NV, John J.F.K. Reed of Ocala, FL, Tracy Reed of Florida, Dale Reed of Mayfield, Zara Reed of Bridgewater, NY, Joseph Reed of Gloversville, Wayne Reed of MD and Shane Reed Lisa of Gloversville; two sisters: Yvonne Sitterley of Palatine Bridge and Gail Swartz of KY; eighteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Blaine was predeceased by two brothers: Larry Reed and Irving Reed, Jr. and a sister, Maxine Johnson. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, September 14 at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. Donations may be made in Blaine's memory to his family.
